One of the most wonderful parts of Thanksgiving aside from gathering with friends and family, are the traditions. Our friends and our families are the reason we feel so much gratitude, and it is also because of them, we have traditions. Bicky’s Mom Eva would send a Christmas arrangement to the Salon each year to kick off the Annual Poinsettia Sale, and it always came with her signature black and white gingham ribbon. After her passing last December, it was hard to imagine what this year would be like without her or the special magic she added. BUT! Sarah, Jess and Laura, who have been with Bicky for a very long time, also knew Miss Eva’s magic, and made sure to keep her beautiful tradition alive. They surprised Bicky, and the Salon feels as festive and full of joy as ever. We like to think Miss Eva’s grace is always with us! The overwhelming gratitude we have for all of our beautiful friends and family makes this Thanksgiving so truly full of magic. Thank you girls, friends and family! Bright blessings to one and all, and Happy Thanksgiving 🦃

At Shapers Salon, we are a firm believer in giving back to our community! One of our long time favorite organizations that we support is Critchlow Adkins Children’s Center! We recently attended their Trivia Night and Auction Dinner Event and we are getting geared up for our own fundraising event to benefit this great program! Mark your calendars for the Tuesday before Thanksgiving because that is when we will be starting our annual poinsettia sale! If you’re not familiar with either the poinsettia sale or Why Critchlow Adkins is So Special, keep reading! Critchlow Adkins is a local non-profit whose mission is to provide quality, financially accessible childcare in a nurturing, diverse, safe, and enriching environment. CACC’s caring teachers provide engaging lessons in year-round educationally based preschool, pre-K - 5th grade before- and after-school care, and themed summer camps. As far as our annual poinsettia sale, each year right before Thanksgiving, we have trucks full of these bright and beautiful holiday blooms delivered to our salon and the proceeds benefit the amazing children’s program. They provide such great services for our kids and as a nonprofit, they can always use a boost! We’re grateful for all that they do, and we are grateful for your support too!
